rackspot plymouth

Posted: July 24, 2010 in nmarques

Since I had nothing better to do… I’ve decided to hack one of my favourite Plymouth themes, PAW and swap it into something weird… and it was born, the rackspot plymouth theme… cool looking server booting! Completly useless, neverless, crazy lookin’!

Install instructions:

DEPENDENCY: plymouth-plugin-scripts

– yum install plymouth-plugin-scripts
– Unpack the contents of the file to: /usr/share/plymouth/themes
– Run: plymouth-set-default-theme rackspot
– Run: /usr/libexec/plymouth/plymouth-update-initrd

Not sure on how to take a screenshot during the boot/shutdown process… but it won’t help, because there’s some screen flashing… maybe a video on a virtual machine…

Later on, need to reinstall VirtualBox and record a video then ;P On a Design Spin!
